Risks
Plainly, and in order of how likely they are to cost you money. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
10.1 Price
The coin. A capsule's coin is a memecoin on a bonding curve with a 1% trade fee and no floor. It can go to zero, on the curve or in the pool. Drops make holding it pay something; they do not make it worth anything.
What is inside. Tokenized stocks track real stocks. Real stocks go down. Memecoins sealed in a capsule go down faster. A capsule of one thing goes down like that one thing.
Volume dependence. Drops are funded by fees, and fees are funded by trading. A capsule nobody trades never fills. There is no yield here, only volume.
The pair token. Fees arrive as USDG, a stablecoin. The engine treats 1 USDG as $1 for the drop line and the illustrations. If USDG ever trades away from a dollar, drops are worth whatever USDG is worth that day.
10.2 Liquidity
Most stock-token pools on Robinhood Chain are thin, and memecoin pools thinner. The engine caps slippage at 3% and refuses pools under the depth threshold (§6), but "thin" also applies when you want to sell what dropped on you. Check the pool before assuming you can exit anything at the price on the label. A coin still on its curve has exactly one market — the curve — and the curve's own reserve.
10.3 Smart contract and software
- pons v2 factory, bonding curve, fee hook, fee escrow and launch locker: not written by us, not audited by us. Locked liquidity and fee accounting rely on their code being correct.
- Uniswap v4 (where coins graduate) and Uniswap v3 (where the engine buys) on a new chain: battle-tested code, new deployments.
- The tokenized stock contracts are Robinhood's proxies; upgradeable by Robinhood, with whatever restrictions Robinhood applies.
- Memecoins in a capsule are whatever their deployer wrote. The resolver checks that a token has a pool; it does not audit the token.
- The MEMEETF engine itself: a cron job with a hot key. See §8 for exactly what it holds and what a compromise could take.
10.4 Regulatory
Tokenized stocks are securities-shaped instruments issued under specific licences for specific jurisdictions. They may be geo-restricted: holding, receiving or trading them may be prohibited where you live, and the issuer may restrict transfers to or from your address at the contract level. A drop that cannot be delivered because of such a restriction shows as failed and is retried; it is not the engine's to resolve. MEMEETF does not KYC, does not gate by region, and does not know your circumstances. You are responsible for knowing whether you may hold what a capsule drops.
MEMEETF coins are not securities, not ETFs, not funds and not shares in anything. A drop is not a dividend; it is a gift of tokens from a coin that spent its fees. Tax treatment of received tokens is your problem and probably not nothing.
10.5 Operational
- The engine can be paused (PAPER MODE) at any time. Fees keep accruing inside pons and in the escrow; drops stop until it resumes.
- pons can pause launches, refuse the operator, or drop USDG as a pair token at any time. Existing coins keep trading; new capsules wait. The builder says which check failed.
- The site can be down while the chain is up. Your coins, the curves, the pools and any already-delivered assets do not care.
- Data shown on this site is indexed from chain by the engine and can lag or be wrong. The chain is the source of truth; every row links to it.
Not advice. Nothing on MEMEETF is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. It is a capsule, and the glass is transparent on purpose.
